Two men have been arrested after shots were fired into the front door of a home in Failsworth, Oldham, last night.
Police were called to the incident at a house on Ashton Road East around 10.30pm on Tuesday after it was reported a group of men were trying to get inside.
Officers attended the scene and discovered a door had been damaged by gunfire but that no one had been injured.
The two men, aged 25 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and are in police custody.
The scene of the incident remains closed off and Ashton Road East is also shut at the junction with Roman Road.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
