Girls on the Go Manchester and other community groups are helping to make the world a less lonely place, one event at a time.
Girls on the Go is a women-only community that also has groups based in Liverpool and Birmingham.
In an effort to combat big-city loneliness and social isolation, the managers of the Manchester group, Daisy and Megan, host a range of weekly events to bring people together, like this bouquet-arranging session at The Botanist in Salford.
Other events include run clubs, book clubs, walks, candle-making classes and speed friending.
These events are a safe space for young women predominantly in their 20s to meet new people, make friends and try something new.
Girls are encouraged to come alone, where they’ll be welcomed with open arms.
