A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found with gunshot wounds in Cheetham Hill earlier this morning.
The body of a 38-year-old man was found on the floor outside a house on quiet residential street Otter Drive at 7.30am. The man has not yet been named.
Gunshot wounds were found on his body, along with other injuries. A post mortem will be carried out later today to establish the cause of death.
Detective Chief Inspector Debbie Dooley said: “We have launched a murder investigation into the circumstances leading up to and surrounding this man’s death.
“I would like to reassure residents that detectives are determined to find out what happened and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious at the time of the incident to contact us.
“There are extra patrols in the area and I would encourage anyone with information or concerns to talk to us.”
