A cyclist has died after a collision with a car left him with fatal injuries in Wigan yesterday.
The 34-year-old man was hit by the blue Mazda on Robin Park Road shortly after 4:40pm and was then taken to hospital but he sadly died.
Sergeant Mark Thomas of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a truly devastating time for the man’s family and we are supporting them as best we can with the help of specialist officers.
“We are carrying out an investigation to establish the full facts and circumstances surrounding this collision and are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who may be in possession of CCTV or dash cam footage.”
Robin Park Road was closed for just over five hours but has now been fully re-opened.
