Greater Manchester Police have taken to social media to give the public a behind the scenes taste of what goes on at the station every day.
Since 5am this morning, GMP have published every 999 and 101 phone call received from the public.
In just six hour,s the total number of calls reached 650, demonstrating the demand and pressure on officers as a result of budget cuts.
The GMP’s fly on the wall stint also marked the four-year anniversary of their very first tweet – they have now sent to more than 26,000 on the micro-blogging site.
While the GMP Day 2014 Twitter feed continues to run, MM have collated the top five tweets featured so far.
