Take our survey on the state of Manchester’s rail services

Manchester’s main rail stations have recently been named as some of the worst in the country for train cancellations, following data collated by On Time Trains in relation to the issue.

According to the information – published at the beginning of September – Manchester Victoria has the second highest cancellation rate in Britain, with 10% of journey’s suffering this fate.

Alongside this ranking, Manchester Oxford Road station sits at joint third for most cancellations. In addition to York and Newcastle, 9% of scheduled commutes are cancelled from this station.

In consecutive order, Manchester Piccadilly station is joint fourth with the likes of Liverpool Lime Street and Cardiff Central – which each had 7% of their services cancelled.
