Cloud 23’s awe-inspiring view has been named the best in Manchester.
The bar – located on the 23rd floor of Beetham Tower – is the city’s only finalist in the ‘Window with a View’ competition after storming the public vote.
The Deansgate hotspot will now compete against ten other locations in the national contest that will conclude on September 30.
James Lee, Director of Marketing at MyGlazing.com, said: “We’d like to say a huge congratulations to Cloud 23 for being voted the North West’s best Window with a View.
“It truly is a great feat given the standard of entries we received this year.

“It’s going to be an exciting couple of months, seeing which regional winner secures the title of the UK’s Best Window with a View. We wish Cloud 23 the best of luck in the national vote and urge people in the North West to support them!”
The stakes were high as Cloud 23 contended against some of the region’s most aesthetic visual gems, including the Blackpool Tower Eye.
However, the uniqueness of the venue’s 23 floor vantage point allowed for the submission of a striking image depicting Manchester’s urban cityscape.

The flexibility and creative nature of the rules this year – which includes public buildings only, no editing and no necessity for glass windows – has meant that the 2017 national finalists have ranged from landscapes and coastlines from the Scottish and South-East submissions to more industrial scenes from London.
Following on from a successful competitive stint in the summer of 2016, the ‘Window with a View’ competition has returned again in an endeavour to crown a new attraction Britain’s finest vista.
Last year saw hundreds of captivating entries taken by photographers and amateurs alike, ranging from hotels and restaurants to museums and beauty spots – with the gong ultimately going to the Liverpool Museum.
The 2017 entries look equally engaging, as professional photographs and tablet-taken spectacles from across the UK flooded in to be judged by a comprehensive panel of industry experts.
The other ten national winners are as follows:
- Midlands: Shugborough Hall
- East of England: Holkham Hall
- London: Tower Bridge
- North East: Crook Hall
- Scotland: The Lighthouse
- South East: Emirates Spinnaker
- South West: Shipwrights Arms
- Wales: Dolbadarn Castle
- Yorkshire & Humber: Easby Hall
- Northern Ireland: Downhill House
