The Bee Network was originally the name for the city’s new walking and cycling network, launched by ex-Olympic cyclist Chris Boardman.
Now, it’s been expanded to include the city’s plans to integrate the city’s buses, trams, and trains in to one system.
With Chris Boardman now off to head up the new national agency Active Travel England, a lot has changed from when the Bee Network first began.
In this video, Mancunian Matters talks to Walk Ride Salford’s Harry Gray to find out his opinion on the expanding definition of the Bee Network, and we take a look at what the Mayor told us late last year on how he will ensure the new network is accessible for all Mancunians.
