The General Election 2019 exit poll results are in and a predicted landslide 86 seat majority victory for Boris Johnson has shocked many on social media tonight.
If the exit poll results prove accurate, it would prove a phenomenal result for Johnson in a general election campaign he had promised to ‘Get Brexit Done’.
An ambitious manifesto, and a social media blitz from enthusiastic young voters has been nowhere near enough and Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour campaign looks to have crashed in dramatic fashion.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the exit poll results, with a focus on huge defeat for Labour on the cards.

#GoodbyeNHS
A predicted landslide victory for the Tories has caused people huge concern about the future of the National Health Service. ‘Goodbye NHS’ is trending on Twitter with many worried Boris Johnson will privatise health care and not provide the investment people feel the institution needs.
Even after seeing all the young people registering to vote, so much pro-Labour posting, and the exit poll predicts this?
I really hope it just rubbish, they’ve been wrong before. Otherwise it’s goodbye freedom of movement, goodbye NHS and, goodbye funding for public services.

Goodbye NHS. We loved you

Dont think we really understand how scary this is. The NHS is the best & most valuable asset we have. I can’t fathom how much turmoil we’ll face if we no longer have access to it. This country cared more about the wellbeing of the majority more in 1948 than in 2019…Goodbye NHS

Goodbye for many years your staff have worked long and thankless hours , to be sold off by a conservative government. I’m devastated.

‘Worst Labour’
The exit poll results show that Labour will have their worst general election showing since before the second World War. Many had thought this election was difficult to predict, but some of even the most optimistic Conservatives may not have expected such a majority.
The disastrous result for Labour has been blamed by many on the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, whose position is now surely untenable if the exit poll results are accurate.
As predicted many months ago. It’s a landslide Conservative Government. I’m glad that idiot Corbyn has been made to look like a fool.
Mark my words. Strong hold labour seats will be lost tonight. The worst labour government I can remember. pic.twitter.com/us6O1ndm0V

Either people voted solely for Brexit, we live in a country in which most people are only interested in themselves or we have the worst Labour leadership we’ve ever seen?
Christ, what a time to be alive.

Predicted worst Labour defeat in election history. Corbyn should not have received a single vote but his name will now hopefully live in election infamy. Let’s hope the exit poll is the final result.
Britain’s Jews will respond with 2 words: Baruch Hashem. (Thank God)
— Michael Dickson (@michaeldickson) December 12, 2019
If true this would be the worst Labour result since the 1930s. Why? No policy on Brexit. Racism at the heart of our movement. Apologism for terror. Totally out of touch with working class communities. This is on Corbyn and everyone around him.

I’m critical of LibDems & Labour for losing an election to a government with the worst record in living memory. To lose was completely incompetent. Health, Schools, Policing, all public services, on their knees & all that Corbyn & Swinson can achieve is defeat & Brexit, criminal!

Unsurprisingly, #Corbynout quickly began trending once the exit polls were announced, with many labour supporters seemingly turning their frustration at the poll towards the Labour leader.
Angry tweets began flooding in as people looked for someone to point the finger at in what could be Labour’s heaviest defeat of the modern era.
I blame @UKLabour totally. You knew your leader was unelectable yet you let him face the electorate for the second time. You knew you were losing ground, you didn’t change. Labour, you have given our country to the Tories. Well done.
— Richard de Lioncourt #FBPE (@Geestar86) December 12, 2019
I don’t blame the Tories. Tories gonna Tory. for being unelectable even against this utter shitshow, I blame Corbyn and the hard left for not getting out of the way and I blame Labour “moderates” for coming to terms with it. Thanks guys!
— Alistair Hammond (@CrazyCrazyRobot) December 12, 2019
If is true, it is no more than @UKLabour deserves. Infiltrated by nutters, with the most incompetent, unelectable leader and shadow cabinet in history.
Maybe now eyes will open. You can’t progress your agenda if you can’t get elected.
— Hywel Daniel (@HywelDaniel) December 12, 2019
However it was still evident Corbyn hadn’t lost all support voters, with some disappointed rather than angry towards the leader.
I feel like I’ve been punched in the stomach. I don’t know what I was expecting but this has completely gutted me. I just want to make it clear, Jeremy Corbyn was NEVER the problem, it was the media and their lies.
— Cat (@cathyr237) December 12, 2019
Okay, but blaming the Labour loss on ‘Jeremy Corbyn’s a shit leader’ is peak bullshit considering we’re about to witness Boris motherfucking Johnson win in a landslide.
