A large fire has broken out in a development site on Corporation Street behind The Printworks in Manchester city centre.
The fire is reported to be spreading rapidly in the Co-operative Warehouse Society building while smoke clouds make it increasingly hard for passers-by to breathe.
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service are fighting the fire with about 30 firefighters and Greater Manchester Police are managing traffic control in the surrounding area.
Commuters have been told to expect delays on their journeys home this evening as roads around the fire have had to be closed and all trams in the Shudehill area have been stopped.
No injuries have been reported. People have continued to post images of the fire on social media.
