A touch of Christmas magic will bring The Snowman and The Snowdog to life with this year’s festive theme at theTrafford Centre.
Created by author Raymond Briggs, and loved by all, The Snowman and The Snowdog, will also form the backdrop to the spectacular new grotto experience.
Originally published in 1978 The Snowman has become one of the world’s most popular children’s books and last Christmas over 100,000 copies of the DVD were sold.
General Manager Richard Paxton said: “The Snowman and The Snowdog evoke a true sense of family festivities.
“They will help us to create some fabulous Christmas memories. We think our customers are going to adore what we have planned.”
The centre is expecting a bumper Christmas with more than a million visitors predicted to shop there and over 40,000 are expected to pay a visit to the grotto.
The popular Selfridges Ice Rink will also return and will be themed around Christmas fairytales featuring woodland creatures and sparkly Christmas colours.
The all-weather rink holds 120 skaters and is due to open on November 13.
It’s never too early to start Christmas shopping so from this Saturday the stores will stay open until 9pm at night.
