Labour councillor Pat Karney praised the quick reponse of Manchester police and emergency services after several stabbings in the Arndale Centre on Friday morning.
“We plan for all these horrible incidents and we were here very, very quickly,” Cllr Karney told MM.
“Police and emergency services have taken control of the situation.”
North West Ambulance Service have confirmed they have treated four people – one with serious injuries.
