A pedestrian has been left fighting for his life after a car ploughed into him near the O2 Apollo in Ardwick this morning.
The incident, which happened at around 6am on Ardwick Green South in Manchester, saw the driver of the silver Vauxhall Vectra abandon his vehicle and flee on foot from the scene of the crime.
Officers are appealing to the public to help them with identification of the victim, who was left with serious injuries requiring hospitalisation at Salford Royal.
He is described as in his late 30s to early 40s, black, around 5ft 10in tall, with short dark hair and slim build. He has distinctive teeth, with a large gap between his two front teeth and with the tooth to the right of his front teeth missing.
