Books of condolences have opened in various locations across Manchester for people to pay their respects to the Queen.
Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral on Thursday at the age of 96.
In Manchester Central Library, a book of condolence will be open Monday to Sunday from 9am to 6pm until the day following Her Majesty’s funeral.
The exact date has yet to be confirmed, but latest reports suggest the funeral will take place on Monday September 19.
The Royal Exchange Theatre in St Ann’s Square has also made a book available to visitors who wish to leave a tribute to the Queen. The book will remain open over the weekend.
At Manchester Cathedral, members of the public can leave a tribute to the Queen by signing a book of condolence and can also light a candle for the Queen.
Alternatively, you can offer your sympathy to the Royal Family online via the book of condolences available on the Royal Household’s website.
The Manchester Evening News website is inviting people to light a virtual candle in memory of the Monarch.
