Hundreds of families came out to enjoy Trafford’s largest summer family event on Sunday, as Trafford Live took over both the town hall and Emirates Old Trafford Stadium.
Trafford Council and Lancashire Cricket Club teamed up to deliver the free event, which this year marked the borough’s 50th birthday.
A range of stalls and events showcased the diversity of the borough’s sporting and cultural offering. Visitors explored different themed zones, including an armed forces zone, a sporting zone, and a children’s zone.
People were treated to entertainment from dancers and musicians including Manchester Marathi Mandal, Sing Space musical theatre choir, and the Social Lites W.I. choir.
The Trafford Mayor, Cllr Amy Whyte, said: “This year’s Trafford Live was – as always – a fantastic event and I was delighted to see that hundreds of residents turned up to enjoy the fun.
“The weather held for us for most of the day and everyone had a fabulous time. Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event – it was a huge success.”
