A hair accessories store that was destroyed in a catastrophic Northern Quarter fire last month has been given a new home at Manchester Arndale.
The grand opening of Paul’s Hair World on August 17 will welcome old and new customers back into the store just three weeks after the devastating fire rendered their former Northern Quarter store unfit for purpose.
Father-of-two Stephen Hunt, 38, tragically died while tackling the fire on Oldham Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter on July 17.
The new 3,000 square foot store is situated in Halle Square on the eastern side of the centre and will be trading nearby a range of high profile names including Urban Outfitters, All Saints and Starbucks.
David Allinson, Centre Director at Manchester Arndale said: “Paul’s Hair World is a household name in Manchester and we are delighted to have come to an agreement to bring them to Manchester Arndale.
“With an annual footfall upwards of 40million, Manchester Arndale is the region’s leading retail hub and offers retailers fantastic exposure.
“We’re confident that Pauls Hair World will offer a positive contribution to an already vibrant mix of stores on offer here.”
Nikki Purcell, General Manager at Pauls Hair World, said: “It’s been a really challenging three weeks but it’s great that the team at Manchester Arndale have been able to help us open for trade so quickly right in the heart of the city.”
