The Monster Raving Loony Party arrived at the Manchester tennis centre just before 2am, wearing glittered jackets and pig snout masks.
Johnny Disco, who is standing as a candidate, told MM he just wants to have fun at the elections and not take it too seriously.
He also said he wanted to harness just enough votes to get the party’s deposit back, and did not expect much more than that.
“Unlike with other parties, everyone always reacts to us very nicely,” he said.
Maybe they don’t pose much of a threat to the UK political climate, but they have certainly put a smile on everyone’s face.
