With the country getting ready to celebrate National Libraries Day tomorrow, Manchester Libraries have released a short video which celebrates the imaginative power of reading.
The 90–second video, entitled ‘Magic of Libraries’ contains references to ten famous books and viewers are challenged to find them all.
Manchester Libraries are hoping it will encourage readers old and new into their local libraries.
Councillor Rosa Battle, said: “This is a fun but tricky challenge for anybody who thinks they know their books. Anyone who can find all ten hidden clues in the video is definitely a true book worm.”
National Libraries Day is aimed at encouraging library users to find out about the great services on offer – from book loans, internet access, events and children’s activities to advice on starting a business and how to get online.
And even if people can’t make it to their local library, they can still get access to a range of services through library websites, including borrowing e-books.
Now in its third year, the national celebration will consist of hundreds of events and activities hosted at various libraries across the country, highlighting their work promoting learning, literacy and the enjoyment of reading to all.
