Two groups of protestors met at Altrincham’s Cresta Court Hotel on Saturday – clashing over the 300 asylum seekers currently housed there.
Around fifty pro-refugee demonstrators, organised by Stand Up to Racism, were matched in number by those protesting against the hotel accommodating refugees.
The Cresta Court suddenly shut its doors to the public in early November. This drew both support and anger from locals, and far-right political party Britain First have since visited the hotel.
