David Beckham has had his career immortalised in a Lego movie by a die-hard fan.
Golden Balls has received many accolades over the years but perhaps none more peculiar than this.
The tribute video, from Mori Pictures, re-enacts several of Beckham’s most memorable moments including his infamous red card against Argentina, signing for Real Madrid and of course his free kick against Greece – a moment no English football fan will ever forget.
A spokesman for Mori Pictures said: “I missed him when I heard the news that he decided to retire.
“I made the movie to express my respect and tell him thank you so much for the great memories.”
The short movie is made entirely of Lego and consists of 2300 pictures according to the production company.
The former England captain, who amassed more than 100 caps for his country, is one of the most famous men in the world, as well as being one of the most decorated English footballers of all time.
Beckham should be ecstatic about the movie having admitted that ‘building Lego’ would have been his second choice career.
The right midfielder, who reverted to a holding midfield role in his later career, played for Preston North End, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain in a glittering career.
Beckham won league titles in England, Spain, The USA and France as well as the Champion’s League with United in the 1998/99 treble winning season before retiring at the end of last season.
