The twisted rapists who forced a boy into the toilets of a Manchester city centre department store where they brutally abused him will be sentenced today.

The 14-year-old victim was shopping in the Arndale Centre on June 2 when Alex Wilson-Fletcher, 42, and Abdelkader El-Janabi, 55, approached him.

Despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon, the pair approached the boy in the Arndale toilets, where the demanded he come with them to Debenhams.

He tried to flee but was cornered and forced to get in the lift in Debenhams. Once in the toilets there, El-Janabi carried out the bulk of the attack while Wilson-Fletcher encouraged him.

Due to his involvement, both Wilson-Fletcher, of Oldham Street, Manchester, and El-Janabi, of Artillery Court, Ardwick, were convicted of two counts of rape and two counts of sexual touching.

Judge Michael Leeming QC warned them they would face lengthy jail terms when sentenced at Manchester Crown Court.

MM will have updates as it breaks.
