A house will be stripped bare and reconstructed from scratch in real-time at a two-day exhibition in Manchester this weekend, giving visitors a fascinating insight into a new-build project.
Build It Live! will showcase how different construction materials can work together and experts will be on hand to talk budding self-builders through various instillations, alternative solutions and ideas.
The event promises to bring thousands of innovative products, inspirational workshops and industry experts together under one roof at EventCity, from Friday February 6-7.
A special offer is available for MM readers to get a two-for-one ticket offer – saving £12 – at the bottom of the article.
GRAND DESIGNS: The event will be useful for people building their own homes
Anna-Marie DeSouza, editor of Build It Magazine told MM: “The show is designed to provide inspiration to those undertaking home build & renovation projects.
“It will give you a complete overview from ideas through to completion stage and stacks of practical tips.
“Together with free seminars and workshops this is the only stress-free route to creating a dream home.”
In the last year, recent statistics have revealed Northern counties are the most desirable locations for plots of land in the UK with Lancashire, Cheshire and Cumbria listed amongst the most searched and are destined to be sought after at the show.
Homeowners who want to add space and value to their current property will be able to take advantage from over 100 suppliers including architects, builders, home technology companies and mortgage advisors.
In the ‘Ask the Experts Lounge’, specialists will answer questions and offer planning and budgeting advice to visitors who have an on-going project or are considering undertaking a renovation of their property.
Each day there will be a wide range of free seminars to attend, developed by a panel of experts, including design, project management, the pros and cons of various construction systems and tips on how to avoid common mistakes during the process which can impact on budget control.
Of course having the right tools for the job is essential and on the same weekend at EventCity is the Build It Tool Show.
All major tool brands will be exhibiting their key products with some fabulous show price offers. Those purchasing Build It Live! Tickets will qualify for free entry to the Build It Tool Show.
