A Manchester woman was held at knife-point while men ransacked her home in a daylight burglary earlier this week.
Three men entered the 34-year-old woman’s home on George Man Close, Woodhouse Park, through an insecure window at about 2.45pm on July 2.
The thieves took a knife from the kitchen and made their way upstairs to the main bedroom where the victim was.
One of the men pointed the knife at her and threatened to kill her if she moved.
Detective Constable Louise Moss from South Manchester said the victim was ‘traumatised’ by what had happened.
“One of the men snatched the jewellery she was wearing while the others ransacked the property looking for anything they could get their hands on,” DC Moss added.
The victim was repeatedly asked where the gold was and the victim was moved to another room while the master bedroom was searched.
After their search the men ran downstairs and through the front room.
The men are described as white and aged between 17 and 20 – they all wore dark clothing and had their faces covered.
Police are asking that anyone with information to come forward and call 0161 856 4882 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
