Vogue Fashion’s Night Out: Manchester’s independent and vintage talent to showcase collections

By Helen Le Caplain

Independent Manchester fashion designers and labels are being given the opportunity to showcase their collections as part of Vogue Fashion’s Night Out next week.

Love: Fashion Manchester is a specially-curated event that ensures that the city’s growing number of independent fashion labels, online and out-of-town boutiques are represented alongside established high street retailers.

Hosted by creative marketing agency Purple Riot, the event will be located in Exchange Square offering a full day and night of entertainment including fashion shows, retail pop-ups, live music, giveaways and cocktails.

Purple Riot Managing Director Nikki Kitchen said: “Love Fashion: Manchester is designed to provide individual fashion labels, designers, and performers the chance to align themselves with the biggest name in the industry.

“Manchester has long been recognised for its fashion forward thinking and Love Fashion: Manchester is designed to ensure the city remains on the map as a hub of emerging talent.”

Notting Hill-based vintage emporium The Gathering Goddess is one such label that will be bringing their eclectic range of vintage outfits and accessories to Manchester.

Brand founder Wilma Mae Basta said: “Being part of Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is a real honour and considering we are the only vintage brand at the event, we are very excited to see what Manchester thinks of us and our collection.”

The pop-up store will be at Exchange Square where customers will receive a free vintage scarf as well as a 10% discount with all purchases.
