Tatts all folks! Ink enthusiasts set to flock to Manchester International Tattoo Show and celebrate art form

International ink enthusiasts will descend on Manchester Central this weekend for the Manchester International Tattoo Show.

Hundreds of stalls showcasing live tattoo etchings will give ink fans the chance to watch the intricate body art created before their eyes.

As well getting the chance to watch the artists at work, live entertainment in the form of street artists, fortune tellers and  the UK’s No.1 all-girl tattooed trio Sallie Axl & The Ink Dolls.

Manchester tattooist Sean Lyons from the award-winning 72 Tattoo Studio said that he has seen a huge surge in interest of the artwork from the public.

He explained: “The art form as a whole is going from one step to the next – everyone just keeps pushing the boundaries.

“There are a lot of talented artists around and it is becoming increasingly popular.

The Tattoo show awards l accolades to featured artists across the weekend, awards  range from best black and grey to most realistic colour.

Sean Lyons said: “At 72 studios we have been very lucky with awards, every year one of us has won something, and it is always nice to get recognised.”

But you don’t have to be, or get, tattooed there, to enjoy the event with a variety of stalls selling clothing, jewellery and henna tattoos.
