The family of a great grandad who was killed after his bike collided with a skip wagon in north Manchester have paid tribute to him.
Kevin Wain, 71, was riding his bike near the junction of Ashton New Road and Alan Turing Way at 8.05am Thursday, July 24, when there was a collision with a skip wagon.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for extensive leg and pelvis injuries as well as head injuries, but he sadly died yesterday.
Paying tribute, his family said: “Kevin was a loving and caring dad to Mark, Darren and Paul, also a grandad, great grandad, brother and uncle.
“Kevin could light up a room with his amazing sense of humour and could make people smile even at the hardest of times.
“He will be dearly missed by everyone who came into contact with him and they will have their own memories of Kevin making them laugh.”
