The Colour Run returns to Manchester this September, bringing with it an unrivalled explosion of colour and fun for all the family.
Not just your typical fun run, The Colour Run course features a live DJ and colour throws and certainly promises plenty of laughter and dancing to accompany the running.
And little ones certainly don’t have to miss out on all the fun! The course itself is accessible for all ages and abilities, with wheelchair users and pushchairs also welcome, meaning that this exciting event is truly all-inclusive.
“Nothing is as open to everyone as The Color Run,’ said Ragnar Már Vilhjálmsson, European Event organiser.
Vilhjálmsson was also quick to express the full extent of the fun, light-hearted nature of the Sept. 7 run.
“The run is less about clocking up miles than it is clocking up smiles. Every runner starts off wearing white and ends plastered in colour and with a huge grin on their face.”
And there’s definitely no escape from this colorful fate.
With The Colour Run course, participants find themselves doused in coloured powder at each kilometre mark before finishing the full five kilometres and arriving at what can only be described as a huge party.
The ‘Finish Festival’ as it is called, is the post-race celebration that defies expectation with its exciting music, dancing, photo ops, activity booths, vendors and, you guessed it, even more colour throws!
Even more enticing for runners is the new location: Manchester’s much-loved Heaton Park.
Vilhjálmsson says this new location will make for an even more unforgettable experience.
“Participants will love running through such beautiful countryside, surrounded by wildlife and nature.”
This new, nature-filled setting will undoubtedly provide a beautiful backdrop for the course, making it even more unmissable.
