Tailgating named as the UK’s most hated driving habit — but Oldhamers disagree

Tailgating was named by 31 percent of drivers as the driving behaviour they find most annoying, according to a new survey by webuyanycar.com. A report for Oldham Community Radio suggests however that Oldhamers are much more concerned with potholes and roadworks.

Across the UK, drivers are annoyed by fellow motorists 11 times a week on average.

20 percent of those surveyed said drivers who hog the middle lane are their greatest driving peeve, with 19 percent naming poor indicating.

However, a huge 27 percent of respondents admitted to failing to indicate correctly themselves, and 17 percent admitted that they lane-hog.

Oldham Community Radio went to Oldham town centre to find out what Oldhamers made of the survey, and what annoys them most about Oldham’s roads.
