A girl branded ‘fat’ at school says she has finally beat the bullies – as they’ve helped pay for her new home by subscribing to her OnlyFans.
Kat Holmes says she was branded ‘really fat’ as she was ‘bigger than other girls’ and felt the odd one out in school.
The abuse left the 23-year-old feeling insecure as she grew up and even began to take a toll on her mental health.
However when Kat and her then-boyfriend Romeo Wanigabaduge, 25, began sharing raunchy yoga videos online in 2021, they soon amassed millions of followers.
And Kat was astonished to discover even some who used to bully her began subscribing to her channel due to being in ‘sexless marriages’ – helping the money roll in.
She claims she is finally ‘above’ the bullies and she now rakes in up to $1million AUD a year [£500,000], which the duo have used to invest in properties.
While the mean comments led to Kat feeling insecure about her curves during her teenage years – she believes it was ‘character building’.
And now her experience of bullying has helped her cope with mean trolls online – who she welcomes now as she claims even negative comments just help gain her more exposure and followers.
She believes has finally beat the bullies in the most ironic way – as they now pay to see the body they once bullied her for by subscribing to her channel.
Kat, from Sydney, Australia, said: “I was definitely the odd one out when I was at school. I was bigger than the other girls and I got a lot of comments about my weight.
“The other kids would call me ‘really fat’ and I have an Asian background so I got a lot of racist comments as well.
“I guess when you’re a child or a teenager it affects you a lot but I think it builds a lot of resilience. I was very insecure about it [my weight] for a long time as a teenager.
“My mental health wasn’t great but it definitely helped to prepare me for social media, so now I view it as a good thing.
“I actually don’t care [about the negative comments] – they just help to push my videos out into the algorithm.
“Some of the bullies have definitely paid for a subscription – they now pay money to look at the body they once bullied me for.
“When we first started posting a lot of our school friends would sign up too. They would say ‘oh hey it’s me, do you remember me from school?’
“A lot of friends who are in relationships – or sexless marriages – would come and subscribe to the page. I guess they were trying to find companionship.
“It’s very interesting. I used to feel like I was at the bottom but now feel I like I’m above the bullies. Now we’re just taking their money.”
The couple were together for three years before they split up in 2023 but still continue to work together – amassing an impressive 1,400,000 TikTok followers, 288,000 Instagram followers and 137,000 YouTube subscribers.
Kat says that flaunting her body to her millions of subscribers has been an ’empowering experience’ which has helped to improve her body confidence since her school years.
Kat said: “Despite the negative comments there’s always positives. There’s a market out there for everyone. Curvy is very in at the minute and it’s definitely improved my self confidence a lot that’s for sure.
“There are a lot of people who are into bodies like mine, so it’s good.”
The 23-year-old says that she now feels ‘above the bullies’ as her curvy figure allows her and Romeo to rake in between $800,000 and $1,000,000 (AUD) per year from the OnlyFans page.
While the money has gone on properties so far, they plan to use the cash to buy a Lamborghini in the near future.
Kat says she sticks to a strict workout route to keep her curvy body in shape. She focuses her workouts on her voluptuous booty – which she sites as her ‘best asset’.
Kat said: “I like to keep healthy. I go to the gym three or four days per week. I usually do a mix of Pilates and basic weightlifting.
“Since being more in tune with my body and being more in the curvy market, I do a lot of squats in my workouts.
“My best asset is probably my butt, so I definitely focus on that area a lot more to maintain it as well.”
While the Kat and Romeo felt that the channel gave them a ‘shared sense of purpose’ which helped to ‘save their relationship’ at first, they sadly split up after three years together.
Despite their relationship ending, the pair say they never considered stopping making sexy content together, acknowledging that there was ‘too much value’ in the channel to just let it go.
Kat and Romeo now live separately and meet up almost every day to film videos for their various platforms, which are shared with millions of people each day.
Romeo said: “We definitely feel lucky that it ended on good terms. I think we will get back together at some point.
“We have a really good dynamic so there’s no insecurity or jealousy. In this industry it’s pretty hard to find that because of what we do, that’s good.”
“If we were to get married to anyone then it would probably be to each other. It’s like we’re together – but we’re not.”
