Corrie fans will have the chance to step inside even more of the streets most iconic buildings this weekend as Quay Street studios welcomes three new additions to its tour.
Doors to The Kabin, Prima Doner and Websters Auto Centre will be opened for the first time, giving visitors a sneak peak of Kevin and Tyrone’s workshop and the chance to take a ‘selfie’ in Rita and Norris’s famous newsagents.
The tourist attraction, located on the former set of the famous soap, has garnered considerable attention and drawn more than 250,000 visitors since opening in April 2014.

The Tour’s General Manager, Andy Begg, told MM: “After the exciting opening of The Kabin and Prima Doner, starting from tomorrow people can go inside Prima Doner and see inside the area where they used to film.
“Also maybe in the future visitors of The Tour might be able to buy some food from the famous take away. It would be a lovely thing for people to go in and buy food from Prima Doner. We will look into it.”

The visitors of The Tour will also get a chance to see Kirk and Beth’s wedding outfits, which have been brought from Coronation Street set in MediaCityUK, Salford.
Andy added: “We will also be having various different events happening throughout the year, we will be introducing potentially new themed tours on the street, so maybe on father’s day we will do a father’s day tour and similar events like that.”

A petition was launched this year to save the site from being turned into high-rise towers after a new set was built at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays..
