As anyone who lives in or ever visited England will know, pubs are abundant.
Scouring out the best ones is a trial even for the most experienced crawler and finding a pub that is just right for you is a task that challenges even the best of us.
To help you along your quest, here is a short list of recommended pubs that just might be your new second home.
The Kings Arms
If traditional is your thing, look no further than The Kings Arms in Salford.
What justifies this pubs appearance on the list is how they manage to keep the traditional style of a typical British pub whilst also providing an excellent atmosphere, entertainment, drinks and food.
As a testament to this the pub has won numerous awards, even the jukebox has managed to win an award. Furthermore, having appeared in Good Beer Guide for ten years automatically demands a visit.
The Kings Arms is open every day of the week from midday until 11 pm. If trivia is your thing then we’d recommend Wednesday nights as the pub hosts a quiz night every Wednesday.
The Castle Hotel
England has a very deep musical history and has for a long time been among the very greatest musical industries in the world.
It’d be surprising if there wasn’t a pub paying homage and contributing to further the musical prowess and as such, there is The Castle Hotel.
With numerous artists appearing on the small stage, along with poets and mini-festivals, this is one pub a lover of music does not want to miss out on.
Although small in size, the music hall is one of the most charming venues in the entire country.
Be sure to try out the different kind of beers that in themselves are a tribute to great musicians, such as the Trooper Beer that was constructed in conjunction with Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson.
Tib Street Tavern
Should sports be the activity that rocks you boat your destination should be at one of the many sport bars.
To spare you the trouble of finding a good one, Tib Street Tavern is not only good, it’s one of the best.
Besides having delicious food at reasonable pricing along with a daily 2-for-1 deal, the drinks still keep up with the high British standard.
Naturally, being a sports bar, you’ll be able to watch all the big events and games here. Whether you drop by for a quick drink, placing a bet, watching a game or enjoying the food, Tib Street Tavern will keep your needs well satisfied.
With plenty of likeminded patrons to discuss the current events or betting strategies, you’ll find time for a decent natter whilst at this lovely establishment.
