This day has not been a happy one for all though, as George Osborne’s tabby, Freya, was run over outside Downing Street last night.
She will, however, survive the event and is said to be recuperating at the vet’s.
If you are more of a dog lover, you will also have the chance to celebrate your four-legged friends on World Dog Day on August 26.
