Foodies are preparing to stuff themselves silly this weekend as the North West Food Lovers Festival takes place at Event City in Trafford Park.
The festival, which is the biggest food festival in the region, has moved to its new location after four years at Tatton Park.
The event will feature demonstrations from some of the North West’s most-talented chefs as well as such diverse product as specialist beers, chilli-chocolate brownies and even Thai-curry pies.
Event Organiser, Stephen Wundke, is delighted to be bringing the festival to Manchester.
He said: “We had four great years at Tatton but as this event has grown the need for bigger premises to accommodate over 150 exhibitors and 20,000+ visitors has meant we needed a new home and we are delighted that Event City have been able to accommodate us.”
This year’s headline chefs are Simon Rimmer from Sunday Brunch and Tim Maddams from the River Cottage, plus leading local names Andrew Nutter, Paul Askew and Norman Musa.
There is even something to keep the kids happy with the Academy of Culinary Arts North West chef James Holden providing free cookery classes for up to 600 budding junior chefs across the three days.
A local wine merchant is also providing free wine master classes to those who want to taste, try and learn about the great wines on offer.
You’ll also be able to sample and buy artisan produce from across the country and the region from the 150 exhibitors who will be at the show.
The North West Food Lovers Festival will be held from October 18-20 at Event City. Adult tickets are just £6 when bought online in advance. Children under 12 go free. Parking is free.
