This summer’s post-work beverage could very well be Aperol Spritz.
Aperol – the drinks provider which first originated in Padua, Italy in 1919 – has thrown its name into the hat as a solution to this unfortunately dreary August.
It comes after the brand left its mark on the city by holding a lavish social at the Restaurant Bar & Grill in July.
Paolo Tonellotto, Aperol Brand Ambassador, said “This summer, we are inviting the nation to raise a glass of delicious Aperol Spritz and celebrate the end of the working day, whether at one of our rooftop Aperol Spritz Socials, at the Aperol pop up bars across the country, or simply at home.”
All in all, Aperol is planning a number of events featuring cocktail masterclasses and sociable games.
These have already been taking place in cities such as London, Glasgow, Bristol and, of course, Manchester.
Fear not if you’ve not found yourself present for one of these events.
Aperol have released their recipe so that drinkers can concoct their own versions of their signature drink from the comfort of their own homes.
It goes a little something like this.
To create your perfect Aperol Spritz fill a large wine glass with ice and pour in:
3 parts Prosecco (75 ml)
2 parts Aperol (50 ml)
1 dash of Soda Water (25 ml)
Garnish with a slice of fresh orange, sit back, relax and enjoy.
