If, like me, you are raising money for Macmillan by doing Sober October, or you are just teetotal, I am sure by now you are sick of sipping a flat diet coke while your friends fall about drunk around you.
Worry no more, we’ve compiled a top ten list of bars and pubs in Manchester that will have you feeling high on life in no time!
Las Iguanas, Deansgate
A classic, known for its Latin American dishes and cocktails, now have an entire section of their menu dedicated to alcohol-free cocktails. Their eight mocktails range from their very own ‘Apple Mojo-Less’, to a classic Raspberry Cooler, alongside the usual hot and soft drink offerings.
Cottonopolis, Northern Quarter
This edgy bar has a huge range of non-alcoholic cocktails on their menu, but will also make every single alcoholic cocktail, alcohol-free on request! They also have a range of tonics, fruit juices and soft drinks if you are not in a cocktail mood.
Hawksmoor, Deansgate
A steak restaurant with a difference, their ‘Temperates’ menu ranges from £4-7 per drink meaning you can stay classy without breaking the bank. They also have a specific non-alcoholic aperitif to make sure you get the full food experience, regardless of your alcohol preferences.
The Alchemist, Spinningfields
As well as now offering takeaway cocktails(!), the Alchemist makes sure that you do not miss out on their magical cocktails, offering you a twist on the classics such as their ‘Virgin Pornstar’. These delicious cocktails will leave you just as mesmerized as the alcoholic ones, but without the sore head in the morning.
Eden, The Printworks
The largest menu of the lot, their so-called ‘Zero Proof’ menu has a range of non-alcoholic beers as well as some classic cocktails. Those missing a sweet tooth will still find something to drink here, with premium alcohol-free lagers and sparkling wine on offer.
Indian Tiffin Tea Room
Who said you have to have a lager with an Indian meal? The Indian Tiffin Tea Room offers unique ‘softails’ such as the Paani Colada and the Tarragon, adding the perfect spice to your after dinner drinks.
Tattu, Spinningfields
Perhaps the most Instagrammable bar in Manchester, you can still get the best snaps of your non-alcoholic cocktails, and no one will know the difference! At only £4.50 a pop, you can enjoy a fruity ‘Sweet Skulduggery’ or ‘Red Lotus’, whilst checking your Insta likes.
Dishoom, Bridge Street
As well as the beautiful interior, Dishoom has ‘Teetotal Tipples’ such as the ‘Virtuous Tulsi Sour’ and the ‘Dry Old Fashioned’. They are also happy to make any of the classics non-alcoholic, just ask your server.
Grand Pacific, Spring Gardens
Grand Pacific is known for its ‘High Tea’ every Wednesday-Sunday, but they also have a great range of classic cocktails like the Rose & Jasmine Sling. Despite setting you back £5-6 per drink, this is a gorgeous establishment that gives you an excuse to get your glad rags on any day of the week.
