A Manchester Metropolitan University student had all her dreams come true after being serenaded on stage – by rap phenomenon Drake.
Hanan Alansi was in the VIP area of the Liverpool Echo Arena last Saturday – enjoying the Canadian’s UK leg of his ‘Would You Like a Tour?’ tour – before being invited on stage in front of thousands of fans.
With just inches between the pair, the Grammy Award winner sang smash-hit ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ to Hanan, with the packed crowd in awe.
Moments later, the 23-year-old left the stage with a glint in her eye after her memorable moment.
Bizarrely, the most frequent question she’s been asked by friends and fellow fans is ‘how did he smell?’.
The Primary Education student said: “It’s one of those things that you always wish would happen but never expect it to, I was ready to watch another girl go on stage when a crew member informed me I had been chosen.
“I couldn’t believe it. Not only was it the best concert I have been to but it has been the best thing to happen to me in a very long time.
“I mean come on, it’s Drake.
DRAKING IT IN: Drake serenades Hanan
“I can’t bring myself to watch the videos as it doesn’t sink in that it is me – I just keep thinking ‘did that actually happen?’.”
Despite her surreal once-in-a-lifetime experience, Hanan added that friends have been asking a slightly bizarre question in relation to the Nothing Was The Same artist.
“I have been getting calls and texts from friends – strangely enough they all want to know how good he smelt!” she added.
The rapper was in Manchester earlier in March where rumoured love interest Rihanna was spotted in the crowd.
