Superstar Professor Green has been forced to postpone his UK tour date in Manchester this November after a car crash in May landed him in hospital.
The rapper was on the way to a gig when he was involved in a collision with two Mercedes and was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken leg.
As a result, Green’s album was delayed and having to recuperate left him losing valuable studio time to finish his recordings.
Fans will now have to wait to see Green on Friday May 16 at Manchester O2 Apollo.
On having to delay the tour, Professor Green said in a statement: “Firstly, I can’t apologise enough for postponing the tour, I’m as excited to see you all as I hope you are me!
“Everything was on schedule and then I was unfortunate enough to end up sandwiched between two cars leaving my health and album/touring schedule in absolute jeopardy.
“I want to make the best possible album I can for you all and I want you to have heard the new music so as we can all enjoy the shows how they’re meant to be enjoyed.
“I could have rushed an album for the sake of making the tour but as I hope you all know I’m in this for the music and am not willing to let it suffer due to a date in the diary.
“I promise you all it’ll be worth the wait, and there’ll be some bits and bobs in the meantime to bridge the gap.
“Apologies for the inconvenience, I’ll see you soon x.”
Ticket holders are advised to hang onto their original tickets for the new dates. If ticket holders cannot make the new shows, refunds will be available at point of purchase.
