Liam Gallagher teases Oasis reunion once again

Liam Gallagher has once again teased an Oasis reunion on social media.

The rock ‘n’ roll star, 50 , has reached out to his estranged brother Noel multiple times since the band split in 2009.

Fans have repeatedly been badgering the Mancunian Wonderwall singer for details on when the pair would reunite.

Replying to such a tweet on March 18, Gallagher said: “It’s happening.”

This comes after a series of reunion rumours have circulated, with most being fuelled by Gallagher’s Twitter antics.

Noel Gallagher ignited the discussion in his 2021 documentary Out Of The Now, where he said: “I don’t have any problem reconciling with the past – Oasis was the greatest thing that’s ever happened in my life to me, ever and ever will be.”

Reactions to the rumours have been mixed with even some die hard Oasis fans getting sick of it.

One user tweeted: “Saw them four times. My all time favorite band. But them getting back together now would seem a bit hollow. Listen to the records, enjoy the tunes, mend the personal fences. But no need to get the band back together.”

However, the 1975’s lead singer Matty Healy ruffled feathers last month when he told the two rock stars to “stop messing around”.

In a radio interview, Healey said: “Can you imagine being in potentially – right now, still – the coolest band in the world, and not doing it because you’re in a mard with your brother.”

He added: “Grow up, headline Glastonbury, have a good time.”

For other 90s Britpop bands, 2023 seems to be the year for reunions, with Pulp starting their reunion tour in May and Blur doing a one time only reunion show at Wembley.

Last year, Gallagher revisited his oasis days by returning to knebworth for two nights, 26 years after the iconic Oasis gig.
