Manchester Arndale shoppers are being given the chance to tackle their cleaning demons on the television.
Channel Four were recruiting in shopping centre today for their third series of Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners.
Self-confessed bleach lover Hayley Leitch from the first series has joined a number of other C4 recruiters in the quest to find Manchester’s cleanest – and grubbiest – home owners.
Hayley said: “Come down to the Arndale and say hi, we’re looking for two extremely different types of home owners. Those who are really messy and those who are literally obsessed with cleaning.”
A C4 recruiter explained how the series works.
“Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners is a show where cleaning addicts are matched with people with the opposite problem,” she said.
“The clean freak helps the other person clean their ridiculously unclean home and through this they eventually learn from each other.”
The programme is slated to return to screens later this year.
She added: “We’re making a third series, we’ve not started filming yet.”
“This is kind of like the first stage of recruitment. We’re doing well so far we’ve had quite a lot of people sign up today. Anyone is more than welcome to come down and say hello.”
