Time To Die is Manchester’s new immersive scare experience, with the team behind Diecast celebrating Halloween season in a terrifying way.
As someone who gets scared easily, I went into the attraction already afraid. We were told be prepared to be petrified and Time To Die did not disappoint.
When we first entered the venue, we were greeted by the lovely staff and got ourselves one of Diecast’s famous slushy cocktails. My guest and I both had the Bloody Strawberry Daiquiri – it was to die for.
After we had our drinks and interacted with some of the cast who roamed the seating area, getting in your face and scaring you before the attraction even began, we made our way to the main attraction.
The Die Is Cast maze is truly terrifying. We were giggling in the queue with nerves are we heard those already inside the attraction constantly screaming, but as we made our way round ourselves, the giggling soon stopped.
It’s safe to say I have never screamed so much and so loud, but also had a great time while doing it. Our adrenaline was through the roof, and we were on the edge of our seats the whole way round, and it was a big space to cover.
It is also worth noting that if you would be uncomfortable by actors touching you or being in your personal space, this might not be for you. We didn’t feel uncomfortable, and staff were present midway through the maze to check everyone was okay and were able to offer a way out if not.
After we thought we’d calmed down enough, we made our way to the second maze, The Toymaker.
If I were doing this all over again, I would go through this maze first. It was shorter and a lot less intense than The Die Is Cast.
It would be the perfect warm up before the main attraction but doing it the other way around meant the maze didn’t have the same impact. This is not to say I didn’t scream many times throughout the experience, I did, but the adrenaline was lessened.
We also experienced the first maze on our own, whereas the second we went through in a group and were slotted in the middle. In doing it this way we knew when we might be expecting a scare as those in front of us had alerted us with their shrieks.
After the nightmare including mazes, we grabbed another drink and went to calm down over some pizza.
Diecast is well known for their food and drink options, and they did not disappoint. Even towards the end of the evening the pizza tasted fresh and delicious, it was just what we needed after the intense evening.

The Die Is Cast and The Toymaker at Time To Die opened on Friday 11th October with selected dates until Saturday 2nd November, so be ready for the fright of your life.
