Legendary Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr is set to finish off his Call The Comet Tour in Manchester.
Manchester born and bred, Marr – who shot to fame in the early 80s as a member of The Smiths – will perform at the O2 Apollo on Sunday, November 18.
Alongside Morrissey, the group released a succession of critically acclaimed albums and are regarded as one of the most influential and important bands of all time.
Marr himself is often cited as a one of the greatest to ever pick up a guitar.
After separating in 1987, Marr also found success in other bands such as The Pretenders, before releasing several solo projects.
His latest album, Call The Comet, was released in June 2018 and was met with critical acclaim; many hailing the project as his best to date.
The album was preceded by the singles The Tracers and Hi Hello.
Marr’s UK tour also includes dates in Liverpool, London, Newcastle, Sheffield, Bath, Cardiff, Birmingham, Brighton and Norwich.
But his homecoming show is surely set to be the pick of the bunch, not only for the man himself but also for those lucky enough to secure tickets.
Expect a very special night indeed.
