The controversies surrounding Warehouse Project were put to one side as Jamie Jones and Maya Jane Coles rocked a packed Victoria Warehouse on Saturday night.
Following the tragic death of Nick Bonnie last weekend, Friday’s event also left a woman critically ill in a coma despite drug warnings from the police.
And as the last of the delirious Wigan Warriors fans left Old Trafford, coming in the other direction were 5000 house-lovers looking for a party of their own.
They were not disappointed as Jones played a mesmerising 90-minute headline set, dropping old favourites such as Summertime and more recent anthems such as Moan and Groan.
Coles had warmed the audience up for him perfectly with her own stunning performance, confirming her status as one of the hottest female producers currently on the house scene.
In a set crammed full of tracks from her July début album Comfort the crowd went wild for tracks such as Easier to Hide and new single Burning Bright.
The most noteworthy performance aside from these two came from Jones’ Hot Natured partner Lee Foss despite taking to the stage at the relatively early time of 10pm.
As usual the event was efficiently run, with ravers able to enjoy three separate rooms each with their own impressive line-ups coupled with stunning lighting effects.
The only thing marring the event was the security team being called into action to stop a group of wannabe ravers, without tickets, trying to scale a fence and join the party.
As the event came to a close at 5am hard-core revellers continued on to South nightclub for the official after party, but the thought of this was just too much for MM who called it a night and wearily made their way home.
