Amir Khan has released a video of the moment he met rap juggernaut Lil Wayne following the Bolton boxer’s impressive win in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Khan cruised to an unanimous points victory over Luis Collazo on the Floyd Mayweather v Marcos Maidana undercard, picking up the vacant WBC Silver and WBA International Welterweight titles.
It was the former two-time world champion’s first bout for more than 12 months, and his fist at Welterwight having previously fought professionally at Light-welterweight.
Khan pulled of a scheduled bout with Devon Alexander in December, under the impression he was next in line to face Mayweather.
Mayweather chose to face Maidana instead, who gave the pound-for-pound king an unusually difficult test.
Khan’s victory has means a dream bout with Mayweather is one step closer to becoming a reality.
After the bout, Khan ran into ‘A Milli’ rapper Lil Wayne, who had had performed for Mayweather during his entrance.
During the meeting, Lil Wayne said: “I been fucking with you a long time my nigga, a long time bro, you a bad mother fucker.”
Khan responded: “I’m a try and fight your boy one day. When we fight Floyd bro we’re gonna take you with us.”
Lil Wayne joked: “I’m a have to come out twice.”
