Pop fans who went for a musical night out with Gothic-pop singer Freya Beer last Thursday were entertained to the last pint-drop.
The event, held on the second floor of 33 Oldham Street, featured a prominent insignia of the artist on the drums, vividly capturing the essence of the night.
Before Freya took the stage, the audience were treated to a series of teaser acts from special guests Marie Franc and Scatterchild – both performing some new releases which were met with loud cheers.
Dressed in a black top with the inscription “Don’t Hate It Turns Me On”, and knee-high red socks, Freya walked onto the stage accompanied by the dramatic smoke-fog effect which enhanced her arrival.
With her ensemble featuring a pianist, two guitarists, and a drummer, she kicked off the night with ‘Arms Open Wide’, and as the night progressed, Freya performed her first-ever single, ‘Dear Sweet Rosie’, which she described as a song that feels authentic to her journey.
Her standout track ‘Tatianna’, which has gained significant attention online, was also performed, along with her latest single ‘False Hope’, a song that had many in the crowd singing along.
She also treated fans to a variety of cover songs. One fan’s plea to prolong the performance underscored the night’s electric vibe, with everyone unwilling to see it end.
With her engaging on-stage presence, dynamic performances, and distinctive voice, her fan base is only set to grow.
The gothic-pop chanteuse whose 22-day UK tour is still underway is set to return to Manchester for another highly anticipated performance at Co-op Live on 29 March 2025.
