UK’s biggest thrift market returns to Manchester

Get ready to root through some racks and dig up some serious style as the UK’s biggest thrift market returns to Manchester this Sunday.

More than 100 sellers of vintage gems, Y2K finds and jewellery will gather at Clothes Cycle at Victoria Baths in just a few days’ time.

The day isn’t just about shopping, there will be music from local DJs, nail and tooth gem artists, permanent jewellery stands as well as street food and a matcha bar.

Performances from a selection of talented local artists including hip hop artist JrodBroccoli.

He said: “I’ve never done a performance at an event like this but I love a bit of thrifting myself so I’m excited to see what the atmosphere is like, give a good show and potentially pick up some new items for the wardrobe.”

There will also be a clothing swap which lets you bring up to five items (clothes, shoes or bags) to swap out for fresh pieces and the first 100 thrifters will also receive a free tote bag.

Founder of Clothes Cycle Poppy Collingwood-Cameron said: “Clothes cycle was born out of a desire to solve all the issues that traditionally came with thrifting and put people off buying second-hand clothes.

“Sustainable fashion practices accelerated hugely during lockdown and the company has captured the innovation and entrepreneurship that surfaced among gen-z during Covid.’’

Clothes cycle returns to Victoria Baths, M13 0FE, March 30th tickets from £4.50, under 12s free.
