Two-day interactive music festival Reimagined City saw locals and migrants come together for a range of workshops and musical performances.
The festival was the first of its kind for Manchester to mark United Nations International Migrants Day, which has been celebrated globally on 18 December since 2000.
The event took more than five months to organise with the aim of forging connections between Manchester locals and people with international backgrounds to better understand each other’s cultures and experiences of the city.
Event organiser Johanna Leung said: “The feedback has been positive, especially as we’ve had so many different programmes across the weekend.
“We’re thinking about doing the festival again but also expanding the size as well, so hopefully we can include different art forms like dance and a theatrical show.”
