Beatles track ‘Come together’ was revealed to be the most popular track on the King’s official Spotify playlist.
The Fab Four beat the likes of ELO, Harry Styles and Coldplay for top spot on the playlist.
Research was undertaken by Party Delights, the UK’s largest online party products retailer, to assemble the list based on several metrics.
Spotify streams, YouTube views on the official video, peak Google Search volume in February 2023 and highest position in the UK singles charts were all factors in the decision.
The playlist was created officially by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport ahead of the ceremony on 6th May.
‘Mr Blue Sky’ by The Electric Light Orchestra was a close second with Coldplay’s ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ rounding off the top three.
Party Delights’ creative manager, Sarah Allsop, said:“Even though there is a wide variety of artists and genres included, it’s no surprise to see The Beatles come out on top in our rankings, especially with such an iconic track.
“Music will play such an important part in everyone’s celebrations on 6th May, so be sure to have this playlist ready to go however you plan to mark the occasion.”
Undoubtedly the playlist will be played by those who want to party and celebrate during the three day event.
