The UK Jewish Film festival returns to Manchester next month.
The event runs across various sites across the city including Cineworld Parrs Wood, Home and Curzon Knutsford.
Films are being shown from November 9 to 27 and the event is the largest Jewish Festival in Europe.
Manchester is one of 14 towns or cities hosting the event, which has been running in the UK since 1997.
Films are being shown at cinemas across Manchester from November 9 to 23 and selected films will be shown online from November 20 to 27.
The festival will include the UK premier of ‘Less than Kosher’ which has been hailed as Shiva Baby meets A Star Is Born (with a sprinkle of The Jazz Singer, too).
British-Jewish life on film, a series of award winning new short films from emerging filmmakers will also have its UK debut with a Q&A and networking drinks after the film.
On November 14 the festival will screen ‘The Devil’s Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes’.
The film is nominated for best documentary award and will feature a Q&A with director Yariv Mozer after the screening.
UK Jewish Film is a charity dedicated to developing an environment in which Jewish film entertains, educates and enlightens diverse audiences in the UK and internationally, and bring Jewish-related film to the heart of British culture.
Films shown at the festival will explore the holocaust, genocide, racism and interfaith themes and supports new and emerging filmmakers. The event is also taking place in London, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Chichester, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Northampton, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield and Southend.
