Manchester creative-types are invited to take part in a photography charity fundraiser – with all participants modelling and styling outfits made up of second-hand clothes.
Hosted by Manchester-based community group Lensor Creative, the event will allow people to style and photograph outfits from clothes recently donated to the Oxfam shop on Oldham Street.
Taking place on Saturday August 13, at photography studios The Photocove in New Islington, the aim of the event is to raise donations for Oxfam while also promoting second-hand shopping.
Izzie Cannon, owner of Lensor Creative, said: “It’s amazing to be given the opportunity to raise money for such a great cause and also promote sustainable fashion.
“Charity shops like Oxfam also make fashion more affordable and accessible to everyone, and the creatives in and around Manchester are ready to raise awareness and funds to give back to those who are struggling worldwide.”
A GoFundMe page has been created to allow people to donate in support of Oxfam and its efforts to overcome poverty worldwide.
Sam Loat, Lensor’s head stylist and a Deputy Manager at Oxfam, said: “This event is perfect for showing the creative community what Oxfam and charity shops have to offer, which are full of unique and interesting clothes.”
