Manchester has been immortalised on popular mobile app Snapchat to millions of users… but it has surprisingly drawn a negative reaction from many on social media.
The popular application allows mobile users to take photos and record videos before sending them to a controlled list of recipients.
Featured is a daily compilation of user’s footage from specific locations around the world that can be viewed by anyone who uses the app.
In this instance, Snapchat released a story entitled ‘Manchester Life’.
Clips included students from Sale Grammar School playing an Oasis song on the piano and a couple driving by Manchester United’s home ground Old Trafford amongst others.
However on Twitter, many people were bemused as to why Manchester deserved to be featured on the worldwide app.
